Append n Mark Blender Addon v2.2 (Currently in Early Access)
Only compatible with Blender 3.3 LTS
If you have oodles of blend files or series of assets stored in big folders from past times that you'd love to just click and they all be in the asset browser, then this is the addon you've been looking for!
I made this addon after needing to import a large number of assets into blender and mark them as assets to be dragged and dropped from the asset browser while creating a few 3D asset packs.
This addon automates this process down to a few clicks!
Shift A > Mesh > Append Blend and Mark Asset > [select any folder heiarchy] > Import.
Shift A > Mesh > Import External and Mark Asset > [select any folder heiarchy] > [define file type] > Import.
Every blend mesh/object in that folder heirarchy will be imported and marked as an asset.
**This addon will be availble for FREE once it is out of Early Access Development. All early access is included in my higher Patreon tier if that is more ideal to package all of my offerings into one deal.**

Whats working so far in the Addon:
- Automate importing and marking of both blend files and external formats as Library Assets
- Organize imported blend assets into outliner collections corresponding with their parent blend file
- Support for auto-import of FBX, ABC, OBJ, GLTF, GLB, and STL
Goals for future Addon editions:
- Automate the import settings per filetype to reduce time spent on normal/shading fixes (eg: import GLB's from polycam and auto eliminate custom split normals, etc)
- Improve addon ability to correctly sort and organize external filetypes imported into folders corresponding to the heirarchy of the folder structure from which they were imported.
- Automate mass import and creation of Shader Materials, and auto-mark them as Assets for the Asset Library. (My thought is to utilize the node wrangler addon to work in junction with this so that it can use the CTRL+SHIFT+T action, but at a mass scale, importing a whole folder of different shaders (like a folder full of Poliigon or megascans assets for instance.))
Three Clicks and done is the goal here, allowing you more time and freedom to customize assets after this is all done, or get straight to work.
