Everyone needs a quick start, but usually something unique to their preference. With no defined place to write, but plenty of working space, you can place your notes, shot numbers and descriptions wherever you need. I do advise picking up some of my favorite Paper Mate Flair pens to get a satisfying sketch session with smooth lines and no bleeding.

After a few iterations, this simple but useful template is what I now use everyday and is part of my new set of practical stationary at my independant studio, Owen Jenkins Design.

You will need to install the fonts before opening the illustrator files. I use an open source sans serif font for my branding available here for free and pull most of my simple iconography from this google fonts page. (fonts are not included in this download.) Feel free to change the fonts to whatever you like in the illustrator file.
